BARRICADED SUBJECT
On Thursday, January 23, 2025, at 9:42 am, officers from the Tullahoma Police Department responded to a 911 call at an address on Myra Lane in Tullahoma, Franklin County, TN, concerning a domestic disturbance.
A subject involved was reported to be under the influence of methamphetamine, had access to unsecured weapons in the home, and had previously threatened suicide by cop. The subject, Shmichael Conley, was confirmed to have an active felony Capias Warrant in Franklin County, TN, and an active Violation of Probation Warrant in Coffee County, TN. Due to the circumstances, TPD Officers requested mutual aid from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office.
Upon arrival, officers determined other members of the home were safely able to leave the residence prior to their arrival. Officers made contact with the subject, who tried to deny being at the residence. Upon confirming his presence in the home, and negotiations for his surrender failed, officers deployed Tear Gas. Officers then made entry to the home, and the subject was taken into custody. No one was injured during the incident.
The subject was transported to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, where one warrant was obtained for Resisting Arrest, in addition to his existing warrant. Shmichael Conley is due to appear in Franklin County General Sessions Court on March 31, 2025.
The Tullahoma Police Department would like to thank the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Coffee County Sheriff’s Office, Tullahoma Fire Department, Coffee County EMS, & Tullahoma Animal Control for their assistance.
