Tullahoma basketball picked up a pair of key district wins and a Lady Cat achieved a significant career milestone Tuesday night at home vs Giles County.
Lady Cats 54 Giles County 50
McLayne Bobo eclipsed 1000 points in her career and tallied a game high 23 points as Tullahoma held off a feisty Giles County team to remain undefeated in the district.
Isabell Lidstrom joined Bobo in double figures with 12 points and Lizzy Sharpton turned in another solid outing totaling 9 points. Bobo was named the Owens Provisions and Apparel Player of the Game.

Giles County was paced by Carson Brown with 14 points and Caydee Pipkins came off the bench to provide a spark with 13 points. Maraiya Holt joined Brown and Pipkins in double figures with 12.
With the win Tullahoma improves to 13-10 overall and 5-0 in district 8-3A. Giles County falls to 11-8 on the season and 1-4 in district play.
Wildcats 58 Giles County 36
In the nightcap a trio of Wildcats finished in double figures as Tullahoma pulled away from a very athletic Giles County team for their 20th win of the season.

Xavier Farrell led the Cats with a game high 19 points, Austin Tinnon turned in one of the best performances of his career tallying 14 points and Khani Johnson added 13. Tinnon’s big night earned him Owens Provisions and Apparel Player of the Game honors.
Jakiyah Englet, who kept Giles County in the game in the first half, paced the Bobcats with 13 points.
With the victory Tullahoma improves to 20-3 on the season and 3-1 in district 8-3A. Giles County dropped to 13-8 overall and 3-2 in district play.
Tullahoma hosts Marshall county on homecoming Friday night while Giles County hosts Lawrence County. You can hear the Cats battle the Tigers on 93.9 The Duck with coverage starting at 5:45.
