According to Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development, The Public Building Authority (PBA) for the City of Manchester TN DBA The Manchester Coffee County Conference Center has filed an official WARN Notice with the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development, notifying the agency of a permanent layoff effective July 1, 2025. The total number of affected workers is 27. This company is located at 147 Hospitality Blvd., Manchester, TN 37355.
Documents state that the company notified the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development’s Dislocated Worker Unit on June 10, 2025.
Megan Burch Jackson, Chairman of the PBA, told Peterson Media Group that she did not file the paperwork and to her knowledge no other PBA Board member filed the paperwork. Burch stated that she became aware of the filing through an email she received from Manchester City Mayor Joey Hobbs.
Peterson Media Group has inquired with the Chief of Communications for the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development regarding this matter, but as of this posting has not had a response.
Peterson Media Group has also asked Manchester City Mayor Joey Hobbs to comment on this information. Hobbs emailed a response, “The mayor’s office was copied on an email from the State of TN and I forwarded email to the PBA members as it didn’t appear any of the board members were on copy of email. It appears that the General Manager of Conference Center filed this with the State of TN. Maybe reach out to Mrs. French for comment”?
This is a developing news story that will be updated as information becomes available.
