Coffee County High School Golf Update: Stowe Wins Tournament


On Monday, the Coffee County golf teams traveled to Cookeville for tournament action.

The Coffee County boys had an impressive day. Junior Jack Stowe won the individual tournament with a round of 68.

The Raiders placed third as a team with a score of 312. Stowe’s 68 led the way, followed by Noah Costello's 74. Freshman Levi Rossman carded an 82, and Landon Collins shot 88.

In girls’ play, the Lady Raiders shot 217. Leah Kate Sullivan had a 91, and Karrsyn Riddle scored a 121.

The Cookeville Cavilers and Lady Cavs won the 18-hole tournament at the Golden Eagle golf course.

On Tuesday, the Red Raider boys played a 9-hole match in Shelbyville against the Golden Eagles and Lincoln County.

Coffee County won two games with a score of 153 to Shelbyville’s 206, and the Falcons had a four-player team score of 243.

Stowe led the way again for Coffee County, carding a 32. Rossman got a round in 39 shots, Landon Collins shot a 40, and Carter Bell came home with a 42.

Seth Sharp and Gabe Velasquez led Shelbyville with scores of 50 each.

Brady Matlock had the low round for Lincoln County, as he scored a 54 over the 9 holes.
