The Tullahoma Lady Wildcats led wire to wire Monday night to best Franklin County 49-31 and repeat as District 8-3A tournament Champions.
Tullahoma came out hot scoring the games first six points and closed the opening quarter on a 12-2 run. The Lady Cats also opened the second quarter on a 7-0 run ultimately amassing a 17 point halftime advantage.
The scoring slowed in the second half, somewhat by design as Tullahoma worked the clock for much of the third and fourth quarter, and with near even scoring over the games final 16 minutes Tullahoma was able to ride the first half advantage to victory.

McLayne Bobo, who was named regular season and tournament district MVP, led the Lady Cats with 10 points. Isabella Lidstrom, Lakaiyah Barnes and Lizzy Sharpton added nine points each. Barnes, who helped spark the fast start for the Lady Cats, was named the Owens Provisons and Apparel player of the game.
Along with Bobo, Lidstrom and Sharpton were named to the regular season and tournament All District teams.
Nakayjah Holman led Franklin County with 11 points. Gracen Baggett added 10. Both Holman and Bagget earned all district honors and Rebelettes coach Darrell Jolley was named the district coach of the year.
Tullahoma will host Livingston Academy Friday at 7:00 to open the Region 4-3A tournament. You can hear that game on 93.9 The Duck starting at 6:45. Franklin County will host Cumberland County Friday.
