Lady Cats 50 Lawrence County 44

Led by McLayne Bobo who hit a trio of threes in the quarter Tullahoma outscored Lawrence County 17-3 in the second to take a lead they wouldn’t relinquish the rest of the night holding off a late Lawrence County rally for a 50-44 win. Bobo finished the night with a game high 27 points including 5 threes and 10 made free throws to earn Owens Provisions and Apparel Player of the Game Honors. Lizzy Sharpton turned in another solid performance with 9 points and Isabella Lidstrom tallied 7 points despite battling foul trouble. Ryanna Huges paced Lawrence County with 11 points. Lawrence County 56 Wildcats 51

Just as in the girls game Tullahoma fell behind early trailing 14-13 after one and just like the girls game the Wildcats would rally to hold the lead at the half and entering the fourth quarter. However unlike the Lady Cats the Wildcats were unable to hold off the fourth quarter surge from the visitors as Lawrence County outscored Tullahoma 20-11 in the final 8 minutes to pull off the upset 56-51. Alex Bedford led the Lawrence County rally with a game high 24 points. Xavier Farrell paced Tullahoma with 22 points and was named the Owens Provisions and Apparel Player of the Game. Khani Johnson added 15 for the Cats who dropped to 18-3 overall and 2-1 in 8-3A play.

Tullahoma will head to Winchester Friday night to battle Franklin County. Coverage on 93.9 The Duck begins at 5:45.
