Coffee County Lady Raiders protected the ball and closed the game on a 30-point lead in the first quarter to blow past Siegel, 94-21, in the 2024-25 season opener for both teams at Frank Patch Memorial Gymnasium in Manchester.
From the start, Coffee County played with intensity, quickly establishing a 30-point lead in the first quarter and holding Seigel at a distance for most of the game. The Lady Raiders continued their run in the second quarter to end the first half with a 57-7 lead. Coffee County dominated the third quarter with over a 60-point lead, holding Siegel to 15 points. The Lady Raiders turned up the heat in the fourth quarter, ending the game with a 94-21 victory.
Jules Ferrell and Olivia Vinson were among the standouts in the season opener. Both netted 16 points each. Junior Natalie Barnes notched 12 points and sank two threes in crucial moments to earn Dr. James VanWinkle Player of the Game. Coffee County will return to action on Friday, Nov 22, as they travel to Cascade, with the girl's game tipping off at 6 P.M. and the boy's contest to follow at 7:30 P.M.
