The Golden Classic golf tournament was held on Wednesday at Willowbrook in Manchester.
In boys’ play, Webb School won the team championship with a score of 296. Cookeville had two teams competing. Team 1 placed second, shooting 302, and Team 2 had the third best score of the day, with a four-player score of 308. Coffee County boys came in fourth with a combined score of 313, and Tullahoma placed fifth, shooting 321.

Phet Phothong won the individual tournament. The freshman shot a 7-under par 65. Sean Montgomery of Cookeville finished second with a 1-under 71. Jack Stowe, Noah Costello from Coffee County, and Cookeville’s Poston Bost tied for third with 1-over 73s.
Other counting scores for Coffee County were Levi Rossman's 81 and Jaxon Phillips's 86. Tullahoma’s top four: Jack Hill 77, Alex Miller 78, Keegan Taylor 81, and Brody Fulmer 85. Corbin Crowe led Shelbyville with a 77, Seth Sharp scored an 87, and Gabe Velasquez added an 89. Warren County had three players shoot 83s: Noel Davis, Tyler Adams, and Turner Bryant. Hayven Jones added an 84 for the Pioneers.
