Man Busted for Solicitation of a Minor

On 06/05/2024, the Grundy County Sheriff's Office assisted the Franklin County Criminal Investigation Division in the arrest of Derrick James Evans. This arrest was the result of an investigation into the solicitation of a minor. Derrick was arrested while attempting to meet up with what he believed to be a 13-year-old female. Instead of meeting the teenager Evans was met by law enforcement.

Evans was arrested for solicitation of a minor and resisting arrest. He is currently being held on a $75,000.00 bond. His court date is 08/15/2024 in the General Sessions Court of Franklin County.
