The Manchester Arts Center recently put out a plea on their Facebook page:

“Since 2020 Arts Centers and theaters have been closing down permanently across the nation. The Manchester Arts Center and Millennium Repertory Company lost tens of thousands that year and the years that followed. The MAC does not receive money from the City of Manchester. We survive solely on the donations of our patrons. We are asking for your help to keep our doors open and to keep our programs going. Without support, in a matter of months, we will not be able to continue serving our community.

The arts are a vital part of Manchester’s community and tradition that we can’t afford to lose. So here’s how you can help. We are hosting a Save the MAC event September 6th 4-7pm. Join us to take a behind the scenes tour of the facility, learn about the programs and people who fill the space at the MAC, and help us raise funds to keep the doors open and the lights on. No donation is too small (or too large) to help keep the arts alive in Manchester.

Coming to a show? There is a donation box in the lobby and donations can be made via credit card at the concessions stand. Want to support but unable to come to the event? Please use the link below:

The Manchester Arts Center is located at 128 East Main Street in Manchester.

The Manchester Arts Center serves Coffee County and surrounding counties of Rutherford, Cannon, Warren, Grundy, Franklin, Moore, and Bedford. With roots dating back to 1968, the MAC has been at its present location since 2006.

The Mission of the Manchester Arts Commission is to foster, promote, and encourage the development of the arts in Manchester and the surrounding areas. Home to Millennium Repertory Company, Jamie Harden’s Ultimate Oldies and Duck River Dance, the Manchester Arts center welcomes hundreds of people each year through its doors for live performances and art exhibitions.
