TULLAHOMA, Tenn. — June 12, 2025 — In what could have ended in tragedy, a plane carrying 20 skydivers crashed on June 8 near the Skydive Tennessee facility in Tullahoma. Miraculously, all passengers survived, including skydiver Justin Fuller Spidey, who shared an emotional account of the incident on social media.
The aircraft went down shortly after takeoff under still-unclear circumstances, prompting a swift emergency response from local authorities and fellow skydivers at the drop zone.
Fuller, who walked away with only a bruised heel, credited the pilot—identified only as Nick—for saving the lives of everyone on board.
"If it wasn’t for his quick responses, there’s a very real chance that none of us would be here to tell the tale," Spidey wrote. “You were dealt one of the worst scenarios you can have and you put that plane down in the safest way possible.”
Spidey’s post described a chaotic yet remarkably coordinated aftermath as passengers—many with varied levels of training and experience—worked together to ensure everyone’s safety. “We came together as a unit and did whatever we had to for each other,” he wrote.
First responders from Tullahoma were on scene quickly, assisting the injured and securing the crash site. According to Fuller, many of the jumpers not aboard the plane rushed to help, providing critical support until emergency crews arrived.
“I’m so grateful that we all came out relatively ok,” Spidey added. “I know a few of y’all still have a road to recovery, but you’re all tough... and I know you’ll be back at it sooner than later.”
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), but no fatalities have been reported. Several passengers sustained injuries, the extent of which have not been officially disclosed.
Despite the traumatic experience, Spidey affirmed his commitment to the sport of skydiving. “The events Sunday haven’t changed a thing,” he said. “All we can do is strive to make this sport as safe as possible and keep learning.”
He plans to participate in an upcoming competition at West Tennessee Skydiving this weekend.
In a heartfelt close to his message, Spidey thanked his friends, family, and partner for their support. “I honestly feel like one of the luckiest people alive this week,” he wrote. “I love y’all very much.”
