Prep Sports Action on Tuesday


Rivals in every sport got together on the volleyball court on Tuesday night as Coffee County hosted Tullahoma.

It took four closely contested sets for the Lady Raiders to pick up their second win in as many days to improve to 2-0 on the young season.

Coffee County won set one 25-23, a hard-fought second set, 31-29, and set four 25-23. The Lady Cats won set three, 25-22.

Morgen Spears and Dani Hillis had 9 kills each. Spears also added 15 assists in the win. Raleigh Russell contributed 11 assists and 12 digs. Savannah Cooper helped out the Lady Raiders with 16 digs.








The Coffee County Lady Raiders soccer team dropped their match with the Lincoln County Lady Falcons on Tuesday night, 9-0, after being down 5-0 at halftime.

Haley Campbell had 15 saves for Coffee County.

The Lady Raiders will face Columbia in their next game on August 27. The JV will play at 5 p.m., and the varsity match will start at 7 p.m.


In middle school football, Coffee County hosted Warren County and defeated the Pioneers 29-12 on Tuesday night at Carden-Jarrell Field.

Also, in middle school football the Tullahoma Wildcats traveled to Winchester to take on the North Middle Gators. The Cats got the road win, 30-6.
