Shelbyville Powers Past Spring Hill in Dominate Road Win

Will Davis

Shelbyville built a big first-half lead and withstood a Spring Hill rally to run past the Raiders, 64-51, on Tuesday night in Columbia, TN.

The Golden Eagles came out firing, securing a 16-12 advantage at the end of the first quarter. But it was the second quarter where Shelbyville truly took flight, outpacing the Raiders on both ends of the floor to build a commanding 38-22 halftime lead.

Spring Hill tried to claw back in the second half, but Shelbyville stayed in control, maintaining a 49-38 lead heading into the final period. The Golden Eagles kept their composure down the stretch, shutting down any hopes of a Raider comeback and closing out the 64-51 victory.

Tae’Shawn Shelton led the charge, pouring in a game-high 19 points. Jevon Lee delivered in clutch moments, tallying 17 points to keep the Eagles in the driver’s seat. Meanwhile, Jack Conditt put on a sharpshooting display, draining two three-pointers in the third quarter and finishing with 14 points—earning him Watson Metals Player of the Game.
