A Wednesday morning crash between a sedan and a truck-tractor led to the death of a teenage girl in Warren County, authorities said. The incident was reported at approximately 9:10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30. According to Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), a 1998 Kenworth truck-tractor was traveling north on State Route 56, and a 2013 Ford Fusion was traveling west on Capshaw Road when it came to the intersection of State Route 56. Officials said the Ford entered the Kenworth’s path while trying to turn left onto State Route 56, so the front end of the Kenworth collided with the left side of the Ford. According to authorities, there were two Tennessee girls inside the Ford at the time of the collision: The victim, Abygayle Elizabeth Jones, and her sister, Gabryelle Jones, who was a passenger and was airlifted from the crash site to Erlanger Hospital. However, THP said the 72-year-old Tennessee man driving the Kenworth was not injured. Officials reported everyone involved in the crash was wearing their seatbelts at the time. No charges are pending in connection with this incident.
