Teenager’s Body Located Outside Monteagle Restaurant in 2023 was Shot and Pregnant

On the morning of Sunday, Oct. 8, 2023, a deceased female was located in the parking lot of a Monteagle, TN restaurant. Monteagle Police, Marion County Sheriff’s Department and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation responded to the scene.

The teen was found deceased by an off-duty Franklin County deputy in the restaurant’s parking lot on W. Main Street in Monteagle near the Marion/Franklin County line.

It has been revealed that 14-year-old Nahomi Hernandez had been shot twice: once in the thigh and once in the chest, according to a state autopsy. She was also 20 weeks pregnant.

The TBI says this case remains open. No arrest has been made in this homicide investigation.
