Following an annual roadside survey, the Tennessee Highway Safety Office (THSO) announced the state’s 2024 seat belt usage rate of 92.2 percent, its highest ever. This marks a 0.2 percent increase from 2023. THSO Director Buddy Lewis praised partners for their efforts in occupant protection. Through programs like "Click It or Ticket," THSO promotes awareness and collaboration to enhance seat belt use and reduce traffic injuries.
