Tennessee Invests $101.6 Million in Broadband Expansion: Grants Awarded to Ben Lomand Communications and Shelbyville Library for Rural Upgrades

The Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD) announced $101.6 million in funding as part of the second round of broadband and digital opportunity grants. Among the grants, more than 4 and a half million dollars will go to Ben Lomand Communications to upgrade parts of Moore County, and $630 thousand will go to the Shelbyville Bedford County Public Library to upgrade their capabilities. The grants were announced by Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee and Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD) Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter.
