Truck Driver Arrested in Shelbyville Following Investigation into Child Exploitation and Solicitation

Shelbyville Police Detectives arrested A Nebraska man last Friday after a six-month investigation. Edward Charles Cress, an over-the-road truck driver from Kearney, Nebraska is accused of altering his truck routes to meet a 12-year-old female for sexual purposes and distributed multiple images and videos of child pornography. He faces charges of Solicitation of a Minor, Attempted Rape of a Child, and two counts of Aggravated Exploitation of a Minor. Cress is currently held at Bedford County Corrections on a $500,000 bond.
