Tullahoma City Schools Denied 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant Funding

With the 2024-25 school year underway, the Tullahoma City Schools learned that its application for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant was not approved.

Tullahoma City Schools announced in early 2024 that the district would apply for the grant but recently learned that the request had been denied. The grant-funded before and after-school programming required student tutoring and enrichment opportunities, plus the summer programming. Kool Kids, the extended care program, will continue in the district. The next date for TCS to apply for the 21st Century Grant is 2026.

“This news is disappointing as our students, families, community, and staff benefited from the programs the grant covered, said TCS director of schools Doctor Catherine Stevens. "While this is disheartening, the district will continue to explore the different avenues and share pertinent information as it becomes available.”
