Wildcats Stage Comeback to Beat Marshall County

The Tullahoma Wildcats were down 9-2 in the sixth inning Tuesday night in Lewisburg, unable
to get anything going against Marshall County. With two outs and two strikes, Andrew Zebick'worked himself on base with a walk.
Ten batters later, Zebick grounded out to end the inning. In between, the Wildcats scored eight
runs and beat the Tigers 10-9 Tuesday night in a District 8-AAA contest in Lewisburg. The
Wildcats will host the series' second game, and the season's final district contest, this afternoon at 4 p.m. at Grider Stadium. Listen live on 93.9 The Duck.
Tullahoma (21-8, 8-1) used four pitchers in the game, but the only one who could get Tiger
batters out was closer Hunter Hogan, who saved the game for Xander Pogue (3-1). Pogue
entered in the fifth and allowed two runs. Hogan pitched the sixth and seventh innings and was named the Owens Provisions and Apparel Player of the Game.
The Tigers struck first with a three-run home run in the first inning by Reid Mitchell. The
Wildcats pulled within 3-2 with two runs in the second inning, but the home team added two inthe third, two in the fourth, and two more in the fifth to lead 9-2.
After Zebick’s walk, J.D. Schmisseur singeld, Philip Lemon singled to drive in Zebick. Trevor
Cole drove in Schmisseur and Lemon with a single, Hogan walked, and Baylan Tuten drove in
two with a double. Andrew Fulmer tripled, scoring Tuten, and Mason Bratcher singled, scoring
Fulmer. Bratcher took second on a wild pitch and scored the winning run on a Marshall Co.

Tullahoma will play a doubleheader today, hosting Marshall County at 4 p.m. and Moore County at 6:30 p.m. The regular season ends Friday with Community visiting Grider Stadium.
