Shelbyville Recreation Center Announces "Race the Duck" Boat Race

SHELBYVILLE, TN – The Shelbyville Recreation Center is launching a new event this summer called "Race the Duck," a boat race on a portion of the Duck River. The announcement was made on May 9, 2025, at 11:04 AM.

The race will take place along the Duck River, starting from the Highway 82 Bridge and ending at River Bottom Park. Participants are required to bring their own non-motorized watercraft, such as a kayak, canoe, or john boat. A life jacket and one paddle per boat are also mandatory for all participants.
