Tullahoma, TN — During Thursday night’s Board of Education meeting, Taylor Rayfield, Referral Coordinator for the Sportsmen & Businessmen’s Charitable Organization (SBCO), presented a generous donation of $3,500 to Tullahoma City Schools’ Coordinated School Health department. The contribution is part of the organization’s continued commitment to supporting the needs of students and families in the Coffee County community.
Since its founding in 1984, SBCO has donated more than $2 million toward philanthropic efforts in the region. The organization’s support has had a direct impact on students in Tullahoma, funding vital services such as medical care, transportation, housing assistance, food, clothing, school supplies, hygiene products, and more. Past donations have even included items as specific as bicycle helmets, ensuring students can commute safely to school.
“SBCO has played an incredible role in helping remove barriers to learning for many of our students,” school officials stated during the meeting. “Their support allows us to meet immediate needs and ensure students are healthy, safe, and ready to learn.”
Beyond basic needs, SBCO also enhances educational opportunities by funding mini-grants for educators and scholarships for TCS students, reinforcing its mission to serve both present and future generations.
The school district extended its gratitude to SBCO for its enduring partnership and commitment to student success.
