TULLAHOMA, TN – As the City of Tullahoma prepares to host its Regional Independence Day Celebration tomorrow, July 3rd, organizers have issued important traffic and parking advisories due to ongoing construction on Wilson Avenue. The festivities, celebrating the 249th United States Independence Day, are expected to draw a large crowd to Grider Stadium.

To ensure public safety and manage traffic flow effectively, all vehicle access to the event will be routed from Jackson Street onto Big Springs. When leaving, vehicles will only be able to exit onto Jackson Street, with no egress permitted onto Big Springs toward Wilson Avenue. Attendees should anticipate high traffic volume and be vigilant for pedestrians, with Tullahoma Police Department officers directing traffic at key locations. Event signage will also be in place to guide motorists.

Public parking will be available in most Tullahoma High School lots, with the exception of the back lot near the band room and ROTC, which is designated for pedestrian traffic only. Additional public parking is offered at CG ModelTek across from the school, though attendees are reminded not to park on the grass or in landscaping to avoid towing. The lot adjacent to the baseball stadium is reserved exclusively for placarded vendor vehicles and ADA/handicap placard holders.

For those willing to walk, extra parking is available at the D.W. Wilson Community Center, providing greenway access to the event via a pedestrian crossing on Wilson Avenue. The City strongly encourages carpooling for large groups and advises planning for potential traffic delays on Jackson Street between 3 PM and 11 PM. While through traffic on Wilson Avenue will remain open, direct access to the celebration venue from Wilson Avenue will be closed.

Organizers expressed gratitude for the community's patience and cooperation, promising a great event to mark the nation's independence.
